RESIDENCY OPPORTUNITY: Translation residency Sovre's Study 2026

The Slovenian Association of Literary Translators (Društvo slovenskih književnih prevajalcev - DSKP) announced a call for applications for the 2026 translation residency Sovre's Study (Sovretov kabinet). It is intended for the translation of literature, humanities, and social sciences, either from Slovenian into foreign languages (length of residency: 4 weeks) or in other language combinations (length of residency: 2-4 weeks).
The residencies will take place in Dol pri Hrastniku between March and December (except July and August) and at the Pri Kovačevih farm in Komno in July and August. The deadline for applications for both areas is

INVITATION FOR STUDY VISITS: 2026 study visits to
Center Rog (SI)
Center Rog Creative Hub is inviting researchers, journalists, and members of organisations working in the field of culture to apply for a study visit. Their goal is to build a strong international community of creative individuals and organisations who share their values; they are open to a wide range of cooperation opportunities.
They offer up to 2 nights of accommodation for guests travelling from Europe and up to 3 nights for overseas visitors, during weekdays. They do cover accomodation in their residential studios located on the 3rd floor of Center Rog, a guided tour of Center Rog, a meeting and lunch with their team; they do not cover travel costs. Study visits are welcome year-round (however, between August 1 and December 1 they can not offer free accommodation at Center Rog).
