World's top Ceramic artists on display in Varazdin

 More than 125 artists from over 30 countries around the world have their works displayed at the Ceramic Multiplex 2012 exhibition in the eastern Croatian city of Varazdin, reports Croatian radiotelevision.

"The exhibition presents the contemporary ceramics scene in the world, it is being held as part of the 4th International Festival of Postmodern Ceramics 2012, and crowns a decade of work by the Croatian Ceramic Association "Kerameikon", said Kerameikon president Blazenka Soic Stebih at the opening of the exhibition.

The jury selected the works of 125 Croatian and international artists out of 400 who applied to take part in the exhibition. Their works will be exhibited at the Varazdin City Museum until 31 October, and from 16 Novemeber to 6 January in the Austrian town of Kapfenberg.

Awards were also handed out at the opening of the exhibition. Japanese artist Eriko Inazaki won the Varazdin City award for the best work. The award for the best young artist (up to 30-years of age) was won by Croatian artist Dijana Rajkovic.
