Zagreb Upper Town: Change of Heart

Museum of Broken Relationships participates in the long-term collaborative project "The People's Smart Sculpture - PS2" in a prestigious company of 11 prominent European scientific and cultural institutions.

Under the working title “Zagreb Upper Town: Change of Heart”, your favourite Upper Town museum has become involved in a research and art project which aims at creating a participative platform of artists, scientists, cultural workers and citizens for a mutual exploration and creation of the European city of the future.

The main activities in the Upper Town will be carried out in spring 2016. Workshops, lectures and art interventions will integrate new art, applied design, science, smart technologies and user culture with collaboration of local and international artists, researchers and local community.

The project lasts untill the end of April 2018 and it is co-funded by the European Commission within the Creative Europe programme.

The University of Applied Sciences Bremen is the lead partner of the project, with Martin Koplin, director of the M2C Institute for Applied Media Technology and Culture, as the lead coordinator. Besides the Museum of Broken Relationships, the partners are: Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, GAUSS Institute, National Institute and Museum Bitola, Kristianstad University, Warehouse9, Oslo Barnemuseum, University of Oslo, University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf and Gdańsk City Gallery.
