Gallery Cankarjev dom n Ljublajna hosts the exhibition 'Vatroslav Kuliš: Works on paper' from 18 December to 16 February, 2014. The exhibition is a collaborative project with Museum of Arts and Crafts from Zagreb.

Vatroslav Kuliš was born in 1951 in Vodiši. He attended the Applied Arts School in Zagreb, and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1976 in the class of Prof. Šime Perić.
His first individual exhibition was staged in Dubrava Gallery in 1969. From 1978 to 2002 he worked in the Miroslav Krleža Lexicographic Institute as art editor for the Universal Encyclopaedia and the Croatian Biographical Lexicon.

Vatroslav Kuliš apart from painting, also creates graphics, works in graphic design and has created a number of sets for the Histrion theatre troupe, for the Komedija Theatre, the Zagreb Puppet Theatre and for the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. He has been travelling to the US, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Austria in order to broaden his artist horizons.

Vatroslav Kuliš is the recipient of several prizes and awards including the Vladimir Nazor annualaward (2000) and Galerija Forum Award (20013). Vatroslav Kuliš exhibited as some more than 150 collectibve shows at home and abroad. His works can be found in museums, galleries and private collections. Vatroslav Kuliš is living and working in Zagreb.
