Foundation "Hrvatska kuća - Croatian House" joined EUNIC network

The newly established Foundation "Hrvatska kuća - Croatian House" with the aim of promoting Croatia's culture, language and cultural heritage abroad was selected yesterday for full membership during the annual general meeting of the network of the European national institutes for culture – EUNIC, which takes place from 11th to 13 December in Brussels.
Croatian House starts with its activities from 1 January 2014 and it would be the central institution for international promotion of Croatia's culture which will at the same time assist Croats living outside Croatia.

By joining the EUNIC network Croatian House will have an opportunity to network with 29 members from 25 countries in more then 150 countries connected in framework via 2.000 branches. Their work is targeted towardsdevelopment of the following fields: art, language, youth, education, science, interculture development as well as development of cultural sector in general.

Head of Directorate for the International and EU Affairs Martina Borovac Pečarević presented the Foundation "Hrvatska kuća - Croatian House" presenting several examples for partaking in the activities of the network in the recently opened Open Call for European Networks within Creative Europe programme.
