Terraneo on Forbes Magazine’s list of top 10 European festivals

place: Croatia
Croatia landed a spot among Europe’s best summer festivals, according to Forbes. In an article about leading summer festival destinations, Croatia takes the spotlight. Not just one of its festivals makes the list, but three – along with a nod to its festival scene in general.

“Croatia’s festivals, given their number, make clear the country’s intention to become a primary festival destination, especially for younger crowds,” writes Forbes, singling out FOR Festival, the Garden Festival, and Terraneo Festival.

Organisers of the Terraneo Festival said that by emphasizing the interesting location of the Festival, in the picturesque city of Šibenik, on Croatia’s Adriatic coast, this influential magazine only confirmed what tens of thousands of faithful visitors of Terraneo, for the third year in a row, already knew: Terraneo is a must-see; it combines summer fun with an unforgettable experience on concerts of the greatest performers from the region and around the world.

This is one more recognition for the Festival in Sibenik. The British paper, The Daily Telegraph has included Terraneo in its Top 10 European summer pop and rock festivals list, saying: “This five day, eco-conscious Festival, set outside the attractive port of Šibenik, offers popular performers and travel opportunities, including boat excursions to islands, coves and trips to nearby national parks.” However, the greatest recognition is the trust of visitors: in only one week, 1000 of them bought tickets, with no performers being announced yet.

This year’s line-up for Terraneo Festival in Sibenik, from August 7th – 9th, features The Prodigy, My Bloody Valentine, Wu-Tang Clan, Aloe Blacc, Azealia Banks, Gang of Four, The Cribs, Calexico, Cloud Nothings, Woods, Mambo Kurt, Duncan Sheik, Koan Sound, Blond:ish, Pinkunoizu, Dubioza Kolektiv, Darkwood Dub, Mayales, Kawasaki 3p, Postolar Tripper, SevdahBABY, My Buddy Moose, Vlasta Popic, Kranksvester, Peses, Svi na Pod, Eyesburn, Straight Mickey and the Boyz, Chew the Fat! Croatia and Icarus Down.
