Matko Trebotić exhibits in Vienna

Exhibition 'Summa mediterranea' by Croatian artist Matko Trebotić which includes 26 paintings and 13 bronze sculptures created during the last three years and contemplating his  spiritual reflection on Croatia, Dalmatia and the Mediterranean region, was opened on Thursday evening at the Palais Porcia in Vienna.

Matko Trebotić was born on 13th January 1935 in Milna on the island of Brač. He attended primary school in Milna and Split. He graduated in architecture from Belgrade University. During 1971 and 1972 he studied, as a Meisterschuller, at the famous Folkwangschule (Prof. Hermann Schardt) in Essen.

Since 1970 he has started exhibiting regularly. Richness and peculiarity of artistic impulse drove him on to cognitions all over Europe and the world, where he held around a hundred and fifty group exhibitions. He lives and works in Split.
