Children's Rights Festival vol. 4 in Osijek

time: 19.11.2012. - 22.11.2012.
place: Osijek, Croatia
This year the motto of the Festival is "Different, but Equal." Like the previous Festival, this year's Festival offers a programme adapted to every child's abilities (the films will be adapted for the children with sight and hearing impairment, and associated workshops will be inclusive).

Every year the Festival has an official host or hostess. The first Festival's host was actor Leon Lučev, the second year the hostess was actress Leona Paraminski, and the third year the host was musician Marko Tolja. This year Goran Grgić has the honour. He is a famous actor whose work contributed to the acting profession in general, and for many years he has supported children and promoted their rights. Because the first three Festivals achieved success, Children's Rights Festival is now recognised as one of the most interesting children's rights manifestations and it is the sole event of this kind in Croatia.

Children's Rights Festival vol. 3 was completely adapted for all children, including those with impaired vision and hearing; this was the first inclusive Festival in Croatia. This year's Children's Rights Festival takes place from 19 to 23 November in Osijek and its programme will offer numerous works made about children and for children. The film programme offers a variety of types, genres and styles; animated, documentary and feature films. Once again, the Festival will simultaneously take place in Zagreb, Split, Osijek, Zadar and Šibenik This year the Festival also takes place in Varaždin and Dubrovnik.

The programme also includes other associated events such as workshops and lectures on children's rights, creativity, inaccessibility of cultural programmes to all children etc.
