place: Tisno, Croatia
At least two thousand young party-goers mainly from the UK, Australia and South Africa have descended on the small Dalmatian town of Tisno for this year's 7th edition of The Garden Festival, which opened on Wednesday, reports daily newspaper 24sata.

The electronic music festival has got bigger each year and this year it is expected that close to 20,000 people will turn up throughout the festival which is on until 11 July, bringing a massive economic boost to the small town of around 3,000 residents.

"We are expecting between 20,000 to 25,000 people, which will be around 100,000 overnight stays and will mean an extra one million kuna (140 thousand Euros) to the Tisno council budget. Becasue of Garden Festival we have had more than 60 applications from locals to rent out their accommodation," said Tisno mayor Ivan Klarin.
