5th Mediterranean Film Festival Split

The 5th Mediterranean Film Festival Split (FMFS) opened on 2 June in the city of Split at the open air Bacvice beach cinema and Golden Gate cinema.

The film 'Caesar must die', winner of the 'Golden Bear' award in Berlin, Israel's film 'Footnote', nominated for the prestigious Oscar award and Greek film 'The alps', winner of the best screenplay award at the film festival in Venice, are only some of the treats for visitors to this year's festival.

"FMFS willl bring the best of the film industry from the mediterranean countries, and throughout several programmes there will be about 50 feature and short films shown," said festival director Alan Munitic.

FMFS will also visit the capital Zagreb for the first time with projections held at cinema Europa immediately after the festival ends in Split, reports website Split-Croatiast.
