Bands 'The Bambi Molesters' andi 'Erotic Biljan and His Heretics' will partake in the line up of one the biggest European garage festivals  - Blast Off! Festival in  Notthingham (UK). The festival takes place from 16th to 18th September. 

2nd Art Days in Labin

The second edition of Art Days in Labin will be organized by the Youth Association of Labin. From August 26 to August 28 the picturesque historical centre of Labin will host young artists.

Lollobrigida visiting festivals in the region

Following the succesfull appearance at the Terraneo and Beer festivals in Sibenik and Belgrade, disco-trash band Lollobrigida will perform on 31st August at the Pivoland Festival in Skopje (Macedonia) and on 24th September in Nis (Serbia).

Bagpiper Stjepan Veckovic presented in Glasgow

Widely recognized bagpiper Stjepan Veckovic has been presented at the Glasgow International Piping Festival in Scotland. Veckovic is well known for his role during mid 1990’s when domestic World Music scene started to gather around ethno group Legen and singers Mojmir Novakovic, Lidija Bajuk and Dunja Knebl. 

Overflow at the Sziget Festival

Ars Choralis 2012 - call for papers

Room 304 Wins Special Mention for Music in Karlovy Vary

The Danish-Croatian Room 304 directed by Birgitte Staermose has won the Special Mention of the Jury for Best Music at the 46th International Karlovy Vary Film Festival. The award was presented to the director, Birgitte Staermose, at the last night’s closing ceremony.

Music label Albany Records has launched the first CD with compositions by Boris Papandopulo for  the American market. The company announced this edition as 'Piano music by one of the most significant Croatian composers of the 20th century'.

Concert for Japan in the Rector's Palace

Concert of Croatian Baroque Ensemble and violinist Laura Vadjon entitled Concert for Japan will be held on August 4 in the Atrium of the Rector's Palace. All the revenue from the ticket sales will be donated to aid Japan affected by the earthquake that stroke in March.

Polish Ambassador in Croatia, Wieslaw Tarka at a ceremony on Monday gavea recognition to Croatian Radio with a diploma, awarded by the Polish Culture Minister Bogdan Zdrojewski, for its exceptional contribution to the promotion of the legacy of Frederic Chopin, Croatian Radio said in a statement on Tuesday.

Songbooks of Bozidar Kunc Croatian composer now available

Croatian composer Bozidar Kunc was born  in 1903 in Zagreb and died 1964 in Detroit. His sister Zinka Kunc Milanov was a famous opera singer. Recently Ivana Kunc, his daughter, has issued the first CD containing his music.

Jinx to perform on Exit

Radovan Vlatkovic - leading instrumentalists of his generation

One of the leading instrumentalists of his generation, Radovan Vlatkovic (born 1962) has travelled the globe performing extensively as soloist and popularising the horn as recording artist and teacher. In 1998 he became Horn Professor at the renowned Mozarteum in Salzburg.
