Bruno Vlahek awarded in Paris

Young pianist Bruno Vlahek is the recipient of the first award at the recently ended pianist 10th International Competition Alexander Scriabin in Paris (France).
Vlahek was compiting in the category for pianists untill the age of 30. Beside the first prize, Vlahek has also been rewarded with special jurry recognition 'Avec félicitations'. As part of the given prize Vlahek will give a concert within the programme of the pianist festival Les Pianos Folies du Touquet during August in France.

Bruno Vlahek is one of the most prominent Croatian artists of young generation. He was born in 1986 in Zagreb where he received his first musical training with prof. Mara Bolfek, attended Classical Gymnasium and at athe age of 15, as a specially gifted musician, was enrolled to the Music Academy of the University in Zagreb.

He graduated piano from the class of Prof. Vladimir Krpan in 2005 as one of the youngest students in history of that institution. As a Federal scholarship holder of Swiss Confederation, in 2008 he obtained a piano soloist diploma with distinction (avec félicitations) at the Conservatoire de Lausanne in the class of Prof. Jean-François Antonioli. From 2008/09 he is a master student at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne with Prof. Vassily Lobanov.   

 He has furthered specialized at the masterclasses in Salzburg, Dubrovnik, Budapest, Vienna and Lausanne with renowned music teachers such as Dmitri Bashkirov, Einar Steen-Nřkleberg, Jean-Bernard Pommier and Ilja Scheps. (Read more…)
