Ana Čop awarded in the IPA 2009

Ana Čop won two honorable mentions in professional fine art at the 2009 International Photography Awards: for works 'Melancholy' and 'For Real'.

Ana's style of photography has often been described as quirky, yet uplifting – a fulfillment of the senses. She tends to create her own visionary world, with a photography style that depicts individualism. Ana was born in Zagreb, Croatia and currently resides in Toronto, Canada. She graduated photography studies at Ryerson University 2008 and is a member of CAPIC.

The 2009 International Photography Awards received nearly 18,000 submissions from 104 countries across the globe. IPA is a sister-effort of the Lucie Foundation, where the top three winners are announced at the annual Lucie Awards gala ceremony. The Foundation's mission is to honor master photographers, to discover new and emerging talent and to promote the appreciation of photography. Since 2003, IPA has had the privilege and opportunity to acknowledge and recognize contemporary photographer's accomplishments in this specialized and highly visible competition.
