The young Croatian composer Mirela Ivicevic is one of the winning artists of the Austrian Theodor Körner Award for 2010 for the symphonic composition 'Ace of diamonds'.

The short film "The Party" by Dalibor Matanic has won the Grad Prix at the Brussels Short Film Festival, held from 29 April to May 9, the Zagreb-based production company Kinorama said on Monday.

Croatian inventors won the Grand Prix for best group performance at Euroinvent, the exhibition of innovations and new technologies held in the Romanian city of Iasi on May 7-9, the Croatian Inventors Association reported on Monday.

Film The Blacks by Zvonimir Juric and Goran Devic has been rewarded with the Award European Competition at the Crossing Europe Festival in Linz.

The Greenwich Trio comprised of Stjepan Hauser from Croatia, Lana Trotovsek from Slovenia and Yoko Misumi from Japan won at the Beethoven Chamber Music Competition 2010 held on April 22, at the Steinway Hall in London and  sponsored by the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe.

Croatian National Theatre Ivan hon. Zajc – Rijeka is the recipient of the Audience Award for their performance ‘Turbo Folk’, directed by Oliver Frljic at the International Theatre Festival in Uzice. Jelena Lopatic won the Ardalion Award for the best young actress, as well as the Avdo Mujsinovic Award given by Politika newspapers.
