Ivor Martinić's play titled 'My son only walks a little slower' performed and produced by Apacheta Theatre in Buenos Aires just won prestigious ACE Award by Association of Theatre Critics of Argentina in the category for Best Independent Theatre Performance.

Croatian poet Luko Paljetak has been awarded the Pushkin Medal by the Academy of Russian Literature in recognition of his outstanding artistic contribution to contemporary European culture and his active participation in Russian-Croatian cultural cooperation, the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU) said on Wednesday.

The Zrinski family, one of the oldest noble families of medieval Croatia, as well as the Zrinski-Frankopan conspiracy, have been written about by many historians, literary writers and specialists in other fields. The Sarajevo émigré writer based in Zagreb Miljenko Jergović received the Angelus Central European Literature Award on Saturday. He was given the award for his book " Srda pjeva, u sumrak, na Duhove," translated by Magdalena Petrynska.

A total of 32 Croatian publishing companies will take part in the 10-14 October Frankfurt Book Fair, the authors of the Croatian presentation at this largest international book fair told a news conference in Zagreb on Wednesday.
