Summer Museum Week - An English-Language Program for Children
Summer Museum Week is a multiple-visit program in English that introduces children to art and museums. Through object-based teaching, discussion, and various activities, we will learn to look at and think more deeply about art in a fun and enjoyable way.

Croatian sculptors in Italy
Croatian ceramic sculptors will exhibit their artworks at the 21st Competition of Mediterranean Ceramics which is set to take place from 29 June to 28 September in the city of Grottaglie in Italy. The theme of the exhibition is titled ‘Antique forms – New Ideas’.

Croatia @ 67th Cannes Film Festival
The 67th edition of the Cannes Film Festival takes place 14-25 May. The short film The Chicken is screened in the 53rd Critics’ Week competition, and producer Vanja Jambrović and the Slovenian-Croatian co-production Houston, We Have a Problem take part in the festival industry section’s development programmes.

Salvador Dali exhibit in Rovinj
An exhibition of Salvador Dali graphics has opened in the western town of Rovinj. The works of one of the most famous artists of 20th Century will be exhibited in Heritage Museum (Zavicajni muzej) until the 5 October.

Documentary film Global Shopping Village directed by Ulli Gladik, produced by Golden Girls Filmproduction & Filmservices GmbH (Austria), in co-production with Nukleus film, will have its world premiere on April 27, 2014 (1pm, City 2) at the Crossing Europe Film Festival in Linz.
Sixteen animated works to be screened on MSU’s media facade
Animation goes MSU will present 16 various site-specific national and international animated works from all around the world. The opening of screenings on MSU's media facade is scheduled for May 23 at 8pm. The screenings will be available to passers-by until the closing of the festival, i.e. 8 June.
Una Gunjak’s 'The Chicken' Selected for 53rd Critics’ Week in Cannes
The German-Croatian co-production The Chicken, written and directed by Una Gunjak, has been selected for the short film competition at the International Critics’ Week, whose 53rd edition takes place 15-23 May during the Cannes Film Festival. The Croatian co-producer of The Chicken is Siniša Juričić from Nukleus film.
Omis hosts 5th Guitar Fest
The southern Croatian town of Omis will host its 5th Guitar Fest from 24 to 26 April. The competition will attract 140 guitar players from all around the world, including musicians from countries as far away Japan or Guatemala.

Ballet of the CNT is giving guest performances at Teatro Verdi in Trieste

Festival of French Culture in Croatia
Initiated by the French president François Hollande and Croatian president Ivo Josipović with diplomatic approval from all sides and on all levels, during the meeting of Mr Hollande and Premier Milanovic in October 2013 the first meeting was held with a follow-up announcement that Festival of French Culture will be held in Croatia in 2015.

Animafest: Selection results 2014
Animafest International selection committees have finished their work and out of 1725 short films from 73 countries they have selected 144 film titles for Animafest 2014 competition and panorama programs.

Thanks to ‘Game of Thrones’ Lonely Planet promotes Dubrovnik and Split
Lonely Planet, one of the largest publishers specialising in travel guides, in its newsletter published a guide through the locations where Game of Thrones Season 4 was filmed, including Dubrovnik and Split. The fourth season of Game of Thrones was filmed in Croatia thanks to the Croatian Audiovisual Centre’s cash rebate scheme and organised by the Croatian production company Embassy Films.

Daša Drndić is the winner of the Prozart Award for 2014 for her contribution to by International Literary Festival PRO-ZA Balkan from Skopje for her contribution to development of contemporary Balkan literature.
