place: Hvar, Croatia organiser: 13th International Prix Marulic festival Croatian Radio invites all radio programs to the 14th International Prix Marulic Radio Festival, which will be held as usual on the island of Hvar, Croatia, from the 15th to 21st of May 2010.Prix Marulic - Old Texts Revisited is an annual festival of radio plays based on texts from the literary and cultural heritage. Its basic aim is to examine and compare different ways and approaches in presenting old literary texts and our cultural heritage to the modern listener. We are looking for a radio dialogue between past and present. The Festival is organized by the Drama Department of Croatian Radio. In a historical setting of the ancient Dalmatian town of Hvar, on the island of Hvar you will have morning and afternoon listening sessions at the places with a long history: in the cloister and refectory of the Franciscan monastery, the town fortress, the medieval palaces and gardens and other places. In the evening we shall talk about the presented broadcasts and discuss various aspects of contemporary radio. Registration form and details here |
