46th International Folklore Festival started in Zagreb

The 46th International Folklore Festival "Children and Folklore" which is dedicated this year to children, with the folklore heritage learned and presented by children through games, dances, songs, and customs, opened in the Croatian capital on Wednesday.

The festival will include performances of children's carnival groups and children's processions related to old Croatian rituals.

Children’s folklore groups from Croatia will be joined by children from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Germany, and Ukraine, a traditional puppet theatre from Iran and adult folklore groups from Croatia, Lithuania, Kenya, and Slovakia, reports Croatian radiotelevision.

Admission to events, exhibitions and workshops at this year's festival will be free for all visitors.
