'Croatian heritage sites on the World Heritage List' in Athens

The Exhibition was shown for the first time in Paris on 6th October 2004 in the headquarters of UNESCO as announcement of 25th anniversary of the first Croatian heritage sites on the World Heritage List.

After then it has been visiting many countries and cities around the world.

The authors of the exhibition were the main conservationist of the Ministry of Culture Miljenko Domijan and Bruno Diklić from the Administration for the Protection of Cultural Heritage.

The exhibition presents approximately fifty photo-murals with art works of renowned Croatian photographs included: D. Fabijanić, Ž. Bačić, R. Kosinožić, D. Šarić, A. Bionda, G. Nikšić, M. Topić, V. Barac, B. Diklić, etc.

Photographs are showing the historical core of the cities of Dubrovnik and Split (Historical complex with the Palace of Diocletian); then Historic City of Trogir; Episcopal Complex of Euphrasian Basilica in Poreč; The Cathedral of St. James in Šibenik and National Park of Plitvice Lakes.

The Exhibition will be open by the Croatian ambassador Neven Madev and the Chairman of the Greek National Committee of UNESCO Ketty Tzitzikosta.

As a special guest at the opening event will perform a young musician Tamara Jurkić-Sviben presenting music pieces by composers D. Pejačević, I. Lang, B. Papandopulo and B. Kunc.
