Music Ring of the Zagreb County A concert cycle of classical music in the cities of Zagreb County: Samobor,
Zaprešić, Vrbovec, Velika Gorica, Ivanić Grad, Sv. Ivan Zelina, Dugo Selo and
Jastrebarsko. For the duration of this “music cycle” renowned artists will be
performing at a number of concerts in each of these cities. The concerts will
take place in sacral buildings and concert halls of individual cities and their
surrounding areas. The concert cycle "Music Ring" was held for the first time in
2003. |
International Dance Week Festival: 21-31 May 2004, Zagreb The Croatian Institute for Movement and Dance (Hrvatski institut za pokret i
ples) is a not for profit organization instrumental in pioneering and enhancing
conditions for the independent contemporary dance, movement and mime in Croatia.
The Institute's longest standing project is Dance Week Festival (Tjedan
suvremenog plesa), founded by Artistic Founding Director/ Producer Mirna Žagar.
The Festival has, since its inception in 1982, presented well over 400
internationally acclaimed artists and companies. |

Third Review of Amateur Film RAF The third RAF (Review of Amateur Film) takes places this year between 29 February and 6 March in Zagreb. About 140 films with varied genres and length (duration 2 seconds - 20 minutes) from Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, Australia, Switzerland and Croatia will be shown in the program. |

Nineth Dreamlike Bookfair in Istria This year, the Dreamlike Bookfair in Istria will take place in Pula between 3 and 13 December. The bookfair has been created out of a dream of several people at play, gathered around a bookshop in Pula called Castropola. From a small, unpretentious book exhibition first held in 1995 as a result of longtime playing and dreaming of those people, the event turned into the biggest bookfair in the whole of Croatia. |

40th International Music Festival in Pula 2003 From 5th until 9th November 2003, the town of Pula on the Croatian coast is hosting the 40th International Music Festival. The traditional festival of contemporary music initiated and conducted by the Croatian Composers’ Society will present the new achievements of the Croatian as well as international composers. In addition to concerts, there will be round tables, discussions on various aspects of authorship and meetings of the new generation of Mediterranean composers. |
Zadar Uživo_03: A R T IS T E X T U R E-art interventions in urban settings The third international festivl of art interventions in urban settings will
be held in Zadar between 26 October and 16 November. Two mutually connected
urban locations have been chosen for this year's project: the ancient Roman
Forum and the promenade by the sea. The project will try and answer the issue as
to how to make vestiges of cultural heritage meaningful in the future. |
