Kaunas Biennial, the biggest contemporary art festival in the Baltic States, will begin its 10^th season on September 18^th with the exhibition Threads: Fantasmagoria about Distance, curated by the well-known art theorist and curator Nicolas Bourriaud.

The Ars Electronica Festival that takes place from September 3 to 7, 2015, in Linz is an inquiry into how cities of the future will have to be configured when there are more robots than people working in factories, everything is intelligently interlinked, autos drive autonomously and drones deliver the mail.

The exhibition presents audiovisual installation Voyager/ non-human agent by Slovenian artistic duet Špela Petrič and Miha Turšič. At the opening the artists will perform an informance (information performance).

The exhibition “Histories of Post Digital: 1960s and 1970s Media Art Snapshots” curated byEkmel Ertan and co-curated by  Darko Fritz is on view till 21 February at Akbank Art’s Beyoglu building, Istanbul.

International Interdisciplinary Conference on Technology, Politics, Art, Energy and Sustainability SPVH Conference : Renewable Energy / Renewable Culture is set to take place on 29 and 30 November at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb. The conference initiates a 3 year project converging art and science at the Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb.

Media Facade programme within Kroatien Kreativ will be screened at the cover of the Collegium Hungaricum building in Berlin from 22 to 24 November presenting a wide scale of contemporary Croatian media artists.

In the framework of the Balkans' Memory project, Ina, in partnership with the Yugoslav Film Archive of Belgrade, will organize from April 16 to April 18 a seminar on digitization of archives and management of digital media.

New media artist Mirjana Batinić will present her artwork on 22 March at MCAST College of Arts, Science and Technology in Valleta, Malta.  She will talk about developing interactive installations and video art, her experiences at the Ljubljana Art Academy, Ljubljana Faculty for Computing and Engineering and Ljudmila Media lab.

Documentary Film 'New Tendencies, Zagreb, 1961-1972' was screened last week within the programme of respectful international festival for media art and digital culture transmediale in Berlin. The screening and public talk by Stephen Kovats (CA), media researcher, and Miro A. Cimerman (HR), software designer took place in DAM (Digital Art Museum).

Artist Kata Mijatović has been selected to represent Croatia at the upcoming 55th Venice Biennale with the installation Between the Sky and the Earth. The curator of the project is Branko Francesci.

Multimedia artist Helena Bulaja has won a Special Recognition 'Gente di Fiaba' @ Fabesque Festival in Peccioli, Italy. Bulaja also presented her latest cross media work 'The Cat Time Stories' during the festival which took place on 5 and 6 January.

New media curator, theoretician and artist Darko Fritz has presented his work during renowned new media event ISEA in Istanbul in a form of lecture and exhibition. The exhibition remains opened till 7th October.
