'Vegetarian Cannibal' is the Croatian Oscar Candidate

A seventeen-member commission of the Film Artists’ Association of Croatia held a secret vote on Thursday, 13 September 2012, and decided by the majority of votes that the film Vegetarian Cannibal, directed by Branko Schmidt and produced by Telefilm, will represent Croatian cinema in the selection process of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for Oscar award in the Best Foreign Film category. The nominations for this prestigious American film award will be announced on 15 January 2013.

FNE Europa Cinema of the Month: Kino Valli - Pula, Croatia

Kino Valli has for many years been a true gathering place for film devotees during all the seasons, thanks to a good concept and outstanding and interesting choice of films for everyone’s taste. This popular cinema in Pula recently won an important international recognition.
