Week of Japanese culture opens 29 October in Zagreb

The second annual festival of Japanese culture will take place from 29 October through to 5 November in Croatia's capital Zagreb.

The festival will feature numerous events celebrating Japanese traditions. Most of the events will be held in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb.

On the menu of diverse activities are drumming, dance performances, cooking and martial arts. Visitors are invited to join in the dances and get a first hand experience of some of Japan's revered traditions.

The Post Office gallery in Jurisiceva 13 will host an exhibition of calligraphy (writing technique) and the art of origami. All those interested in learning these techniques will be able to attend one of the workshops offered during the exhibition days.
