The 39th International Festival of Puppet Theatre - PIF

Until now more than 350 theatres from all continents have participated. The festival is for both adults and children.

PIF has been held each year since 1968, so the festival has long tradition behind it. It is usually held in the last week of August. PIF is part of the European Festival Network - UNIMA.

Two panels of judges cover the program: a children’s panel and an expert international panel that grants awards for best play overall (the PIF Grand Prize is named after Milan Čečuk, a giant of Croatian puppetry) and for individual achievement.

PIF will be held in Zagreb between 1st and 8th September and it is organized by the International Cultural Centre. (Source: public.carnet.hr/pif-festival)
